On Friday 11th December 2009, the 11th Scandinavian Business Christmas Dinner &
Lucia Celebration was held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Grand Ballroom. Over
1000 guests from the MASBA (Malaysian-Swedish Business Association),a non-profit
organization and a member of the Association for Swedish Chambers of Commerce
Abroad and guests attended this function.
A truly Scandinavian Christmas replete with carolers in white robes with the
traditional Santa Lucia in procession was an awesome treat along with a
sumptuous Christmas buffet supervised by no less than one of Sweden’s top chefs
specially flown in for the occasion. Some of the more lucky guests walked away
with gifts from a lucky draw (with 3 privileged persons taking home exclusive
Serunai hampers). A live band helped the well feted guests to work off the
extras on the dance floor. What an extraordinary Christmas celebration!
